The company’s core business is in the service sector, centered towards equipment after warranty support services, namely, steam turbine, generators, compressors, special pumps and balance pf plant equipment. The main industry covered are in the power generation, sea ports & airports and oil & gas. Trading is one of the main business activities which is very competitive and sensitive business. The company must be vigilant about the market, product and competitors. Due to these challenges, UBTSB is always upgrading their customer’s services and also look for new product agencies. In order to remain in the business and at the same time increase the company’s turn-over, UBTSB must diversify and venture into the service industries. Most clients now indicate their expectation of suppliers providing both the spare parts and the service support facilities. The government on the other hand had implemented the registration of all service contractors under the ‘Pusat Khidmat Kontrator – PKK’ and ‘construction industry development board – cidb’. Ubtsb is registered with Kementerian Kewangan, Pusat Khidmat Kontraktor – Class C & CIDB. All our technical staff are CIDB and NIOSH/PETRONAS certified.
